The project consisted of installing two (2) bridges (north and south bound); lowering I-20 to make room for new bridges, as well as, rebuilding both east and west bound service roads. Major work activities consisted of constructing 20.29 acres of right of way, roadway excavation, embankment, asphalt paving, the construction of 87,031 SF of retaining wall, the installation of soil nail anchors, and the installation of approximately 7,516 LF of reinforced concrete pipe (18 to 48 inch). During the progress of the project live traffic was detoured around the project.
